Carbon Revolution Wheels are 50% or less the weight and inertia of typical aluminium cast and forged wheels. This means a car with CR-9 carbon fiber will have:
-Improved acceleration
-Improved braking, reduced stopping distance
-Lighter, sharper steering feel
-Reduced unsprung mass allows for improved shock tuning & better grip
-Improved durability over magnesium or multi piece wheels
-Improved vibration and harshness due to reduced suspension forces -
Carbon Revolution wheels improve the performance of your car in many ways.
Bolting on a set of CR-9’s is equivalent to:
-Adding horse power to the engine
-Increasing the size of the brakes
-Upgrading your suspension -
Carbon Revolution wheels are designed and engineered to the highest standards with state of the art computer modeling technology. The video below is an example of advance tire models used to engineer the CR-9.

The next step in engineering a CR-9 carbon fiber wheel is detailed Finite Element Analysis of the wheel. This ensures the final design meets our strict standards for weight, stiffness, vibration and durability. Below is an example of the CR-9 Finite Element model.

Once the engineering is completed the CR-9 wheels are tested on road. Carbon Revolution uses a BMW M3 and Corvette C6 for on-road and on-track performance testing. If you would like to see the CR-9 in durability test please see our Pothole and Impact strip testing pages.
